Welcome to Bridport Masonic Hall
Bridport Masonic Hall
Bridport Masonic Hall was built in 1769 as The Marquis of Granby Inn, on the former site of St. John the Baptist Hospital and Chapel in East Street. It was also a shoe and bootmakers for a period as the print on the left shows
Bridport Freemasons moved into the building in 1889 and have met there ever since. Bridport Masonic Hall is home to two Craft lodges as well as 4 other Masonic Orders
The Lodge Temple is ornate with rare Masonic artefacts dating back to the mid 1700's. It also has the second largest Masonic museum in Dorset.
A Community Space
Bridport Masonic Hall isn’t just about Freemason’s meetings, it’s a place available to the wider community and local businesses to hold meetings and events. There are four rooms to choose from;
Room 1. The Masters Room on the first floor is the smallest room we have.
Room 2. The Museum on the first floor is suitable to hold meetings or lectures
Room 3. The Temple is on the second floor and is normally reserved for masonic use only. However we will consider enquiries.
Room 4. The Lodge is our large function room with a fully licenced bar and a chef’s kitchen.
